After a whirlwind weekend visit from Cousins and Aunts we said our good byes and then drowned our sorrows in ice cream- extra sprinkle please- goodbyes are never easy.

In a few weeks we head up north to go sailing with Grandpa, but what do you do on a boat with 4 kids and no technology… get lost in space. Here is our pre- sailing astronomy lesson 101.

To watch the fire works we took the kids to a friends penthouse in downtown Sarasota.  We didn’t have to battle the crowds and we had incredible views. Viola didn’t blink, Harlow giggled with excitement throughout while repeating her 4 year old 4th of July mantra- “Boom fire, boomboom fire, boom, fire”

Grandpa’s Lemonade recipe for 2 cute granddaughters

-The juice of one lemon

-2 1/2 teaspoons of sugar

-2 cups of water (more or less to taste)

-Add ice, shake and pour

– Don’t forget the lemon twist garnish and a hot summer day

There is nothing I love more than an outdoor shower. Soap, sun and baby frogs.
